Montessori Hossegor believes in an education centered on the needs of the child.
We provide an individualized, focused and experiential approach to education.
|
We find that the Montessori pedagogy develops concentration, a critical mind, a spirit of initiative, creativity and self-confidence, tools that we believe are indispensable for grasping the ever-changing world of the future.

Montessori Hossegor considers that
education should be based on the child's natural development, not on a pre-established program. |

An Education to Meet the Rhythm of Life
Montessori Environments contain scientifically designed materials that are attractive to the child yet serve a developmental need. Presentations using the materials are given at the appropriate time in a child's life aiding his developmental processes. As the materials are self-correcting, they allow the child to build his independence.

Why choose an AMI school?
The Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) is the recognized authority on the application of the Montessori approach to education. Maria Montessori, who gave her name to the method, founded AMI. Not all Montessori schools are alike, because the name "Montessori" is not protected by copyright and anyone wishing to use the name "Montessori" can do so. To ensure that the Montessori method is applied according to the approach defined by Dr. Maria Montessori, a parent needs to find an AMI school. Schools that offer a variety of different teaching methods and include Montessori as one of these elements have a negative impact on the integrity of the Montessori method and simply cannot offer a Montessori education.

- Is made up of a mixed-age group, either a range of three years or six years in each class.
- Has an uninterrupted work period of three hours in the morning and two to three hours in the afternoon.
- Has a complete set of materials for each class from an AMI-approved manufacturer.
