A DIFFERENT TYPE OF EDUCATION
“Our care of the child should be governed, not by the desire to make him learn things, but by the endeavor always to keep burning within him that light which is called intelligence.”

Why choose an AMI school?
Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) is the recognized authority for applying the Montessori approach to education. Maria Montessori, the namesake of the Montessori method, founded AMI. Not all Montessori schools are alike because the name “Montessori” is not copyrighted and therefore anyone wishing to use the name “Montessori” may do so. In order to ensure that the Montessori method is being applied through the approach set down by Maria Montessori a parent must look for an AMI school. Schools that offer a variety of different educational methods and include Montessori as an element negatively impact the integrity of the Montessori method and simply cannot offer a Montessori education.
